Uses : 
Vardenafil is used to address issues with male sex function (impotence or erectile dysfunction-ED). Vardenafil helps a man achieve and maintain an erection by boosting blood flow to the when combined with sexual stimulation. This medication does not offer protection from STDs (such as HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, syphilis). Use "safe sex" techniques, such as latex condoms. Precautions :
Before beginning to use vardenafil and each time you receive a refill, read the Patient Information Leaflet that was given to you by your pharmacist. Ask your physician or pharmacist if you have any queries.

As needed, take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Preferably take vardenafil one hour before engaging in sexual activity, with or without meals. Never take more than once per day. The time between doses should be at least 24 hours.
Before handling this drug, dry your hands. Just before using, take the dose out of the blister packet. The tablet should be placed on your tongue and allowed to dissolve fully. Avoid breaking or splitting the tablet. Liquid should not be consumed with this medication.

Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this medication unless your doctor or pharmacist says you may do so safely. Grapefruit can increase the chance of side effects with this medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details.

Side Effects :
There could be headaches, flushing, or vertigo. Changes in eyesight can also include heightened sensitivity to light, blurred vision, or difficulty identifying blue from green. Inform your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if any of these side effects persist or get worse.

When getting out of a sitting or laying posture, take it gently to lessen the chance of feeling lightheaded and dizzy.

Keep in mind that your doctor has recommended this medication because they believe it will benefit you more than it will harm you. Many users of this medicine report no significant negative effects.

If you already have heart issues, engaging in sexual activity may put your heart under further stress. Stop having sex and get medical attention right away if you have heart issues and have any of these dangerous side effects: severe dizziness, fainting, chest/jaw/left arm discomfort, nausea.

Rarely, unexpected vision loss in one or both eyes, including total blindness, can happen (NAION). Stop taking vardenafil immediately if this dangerous issue arises, and seek immediate medical attention. If you are over 50, smoke, have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, certain other eye conditions ("packed disc"), heart disease, or high cholesterol, your risk of developing NAION is somewhat increased.
